We got to the park after dark because we were trying to fit the last of our stuff in to the motorhome before we left town.\u00a0 When you look at the pictures of the bridge I think you can appreciate how difficult it was to maneuver through this bridge in the dark.\u00a0 Headlights don\u2019t illuminate the side mirrors which barely fit through the supports on the bridge.\u00a0 If that isn\u2019t nerve-racking enough add the fact that the bridge says for a single axle RV (like ours) the bridge weight limit is 10 tons and we weigh 11 tons.<\/p>\n<p>Ken left me parked by the bridge until he talked to the ranger in the station on the other side of the bridge who said that the bridge had seen rigs way bigger than ours go over it so he was sure it would be fine but then added that the park service doesn\u2019t train them on bridge strength.\u00a0 Nice!\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4494.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-51\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4494-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Bridge at Old Stone Fort Archeological Park\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Luke, Chloe and I biked to the museum the next day and then hiked around the wall, stopped at the waterfalls and practiced sketching the falls.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think I could have picked a much harder subject.\u00a0 My sketch looked terrible! \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4480.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-52\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4480-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"in between the waterfalls\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4482.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-53\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4482-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"lower falls\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4484.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-55\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4484-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"upper falls\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We have \u00a0left Cave City, KY having visited the Mammoth Cave National Park.\u00a0 We took a\u00a0 historical tour late in the day Tuesday and Wednesday morning we took the Domes and Dripstones Tour.\u00a0 The kids much preferred the last one because of the narrow curving passages we went through and the deep drops we walked over. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4508.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-56\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4508-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Mammoth Cave Sign\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4515.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-57\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4515-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"kids in the cave\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>We were delighted to see wild turkeys several times as we drove through the National Park and we were amazed that there are over 400 miles of explored cave included as part of the Mammoth Cave system &#8211; huge!<\/p>\n<p>On the way to Ohio we stopped to see the cabin where President Lincoln was born. \u00a0This is for all of our past First Grade Teachers&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4546.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-59\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4546-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Lincoln's cabin\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We just arrived in the\u00a0Cincinnati, OH area and we will spend a couple of days at the Creation Museum. \u00a0At our campground the kids had fun on the quadricycle. \u00a0I hope I got that right!<a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4549.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-58\" src=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4549-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Quadricycle\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/wanderingadams.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/IMG_4494.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sunday and Monday we were south of Nashville at the Old Stone Fort Archeological Park.
